Note: Contains interviews with Hayao Miyazaki and Nausicaa's voice actor Sumi Shimamoto, articles about the production of Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, along with lots of photos and reproduced artwork from the production. The book also contains a manga, Hayao Miyazaki Nausicaa Hard-fighting Diary by Katsushi Katsukawa (勝川克志 Katsukawa Katsushi?), and a full-color picture book version of the The Mysterious Moriarty - Blue Carbuncle episode from Sherlock Hound.
The book's editor, Hideo Ogata (尾形英夫 Ogata Hideo?), was the founding editor of Animage magazine and was responsible for the serialization of the Nausicaä manga. He was also a planner or producer on the early films at Studio Ghibli as well as other anime productions.
