Notes: The Haunted Tower (幽霊塔 Yuureitou?) is a Japanese novel by Ranpo Edogawa (1894-1965), adapted from the 1898 novel A Woman in Grey by Alice M. Williamson. Hayao Miyazaki read the novel when he was in middle school and it left him with deep impressions - enough so that he used some of the ideas from the novel in his first anime film Lupin the Third: The Castle of Cagliostro in 1979.

This edition is the novel by Edogawa with 16 pages of color illustrations by Miyazaki, some of which were on display at the exhibition of the same name at the Ghibli Museum in 2015 and 2016.
