Talk:Porco Rosso (FAQ)
Based on info in the "Art of Porco Rosso" book, I expanded the answer a bit - the Disney homage (didn't exist in the old answer), the identity of the Fleischers' character and I also clarified the McCay homage a little.
Porco Rosso's friend's name is Ferrarin, probably named after Arturo Ferrarin, an Italian seaplane pilot during WWI and test pilot afterwards. Among other things, Ferrarin flew from Rome to Tokyo in 1920. --Wido 17:01, 30 January 2012 (UTC)
