Ponyo Soundtrack Details
The Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea soundtrack is scheduled for release on July 16 by Tokuma Japan. It consists of 40 tracks.
According to Hisaishi's interview on Suzuki's radio program, this time he decided to make a lot of shorter pieces. For example, five seconds of music. His concept is, "The music that one can not understand where is the beginning, and where is the end."
Hisaishi mentioned that the biggest screen in Japan will be used during his July concerts. He thinks that 40 or 50 pieces are played in two hours to cover all nine Miyazaki/Hisaishi films.
