April 5, 2007 Toshio Suzuki, Mahiro Maeda Talk/Write About "Ponyo"
NTV program "NNN News" has a clip from the March 19 show that features Studio Ghibli President and producer of "Ponyo" Toshio Suzuki.

Animation director Masahiro Maeda posted a reaction to the Hayao Miyazaki episode of "Professional" on his blog.

*As one of the his fans I'm interested in how Miyazaki-san deals with the sea.
*Miyazaki-san in "Professional" wasn't different from around the times of "Nausucaa" and "Laputa". Back then he said things like, 'I'm at my physical limit' or 'my talent is wearing out'.
*I was impressed with the figure of the 66-year old Miyazaki-san still trying to do new things.

He includes a sketch of his earlier days at Studio Ghibli (Maeda worked on Nausicaa, Laputa, and Totoro) and the fear that struck most young animators working under Miyazaki.
