There was an article about Joe Hisaishi in Yomiuri Shinbun (sorry, I got
this article as a clipping, so I don't know the date). And it says that
Hisaishi is going to direct a movie. He is currently writing a script,
hoping to release the movie next year.

In the article, Hisaishi said,

"The theme of the movie is music. I am going to make it a suspense like the
Ridley Scott's movies, which I really love. Since I'm not a professional
director, I want to make it a kind of movie that professional directors can
not make."
