November 26, 2007 Miyazaki Vs. Spielberg, Ghibli Asemamire Episode 8
Variety Japan has an article titled, "Hayao Miyazaki VS Spielberg : A large-scale confrontation for the first time in 11 years".

Next summer sees the release of both Miyazaki's "Ponyo on a Cliff" and Spielberg's "Indiana Jones 4". In 1997 "Princess Mononoke" and "The Lost World: Jurassic Park" went head-to-head at the Japanese box office with Miyazaki coming out on top. Variety Japan mentions "It is certain that Miyazaki's film is absolutely advantageous."

The documentary "How Mononoke was Born" shows a meeting in which producer Toshio Suzuki and other think about how to win against "The Lost World" and other films.

GhibliWorld graces the web with an English summary of the eighth radio episode which features Aoi Teshima from "Tales from Earthsea".

Tales from Earthsea is scheduled for a screening at the Mid West Fur Fest on Saturday, November 17. The source is most likely the Japanese DVD.
